About Me

In addition to being a current town council member, I am Virgin’s representative on the Hurricane Fire District Board. I am a retired attorney with over 22 years of municipal experience.  I also served in the United States Army (active duty, reserves, and national guard) for over 28 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. I have been visiting Virgin since 2007. My wife, Karen Finke, and I purchased property in 2008 with the intent to build a house. We then located a different lot with a home for sale and purchased our home in 2014. When I ran for Town Council four years ago, I had no intention to run for reelection. I would have been content to retire quietly in Virgin with trips to see my two sons in Chicago to watch baseball from Wrigley Field since I am a die-hard Cubs fan. However, many of the changes that I have introduced in the past three and half years are still in their infancy, and I want to ensure that they come to fruition, along with several other ordinances and changes yet to be introduced.  I appreciate your support and trust in electing me to office four years ago, and I will continue to try to maintain your trust should I be reelected.
