August 12, 2024 – meet with Mayor re Riverrock issues and Sierra Bella’s request to town.
August 11, 2024 – long telephone call with owner of RiverRock re water assessments, impact fees, and next vote concerning Pocketville park.
August 9, 2024 – 2 Virgin residents express concern about treatment of owner of RiverRock concerning impact fees and assessments; along with having to take another vote on Pocketville Park.

March 2, 2023 – phone call from Marco Diaz, developer from SLC re work force housing condition on CUP for White Buffalo and wanting HRZ on trailer court for more work force housing.
February 17, 2023- meeting with Jean Krause and a member of Rio de Sion concerning Allen Lee zone change to area.

January 20, 2023 – Public Officials Training Session in Springdale with Springdale and Rockville officials. Subjects: Recent Trends and updates in land use law; fraud risk trianing; Utah Municipals Ethics Act; and Open and Public Meetings Act

July 28, 2022 – Mayor Krause and I met with Nate Wiberg, Five Counties Association of Government to discuss planning needs.
June 27, 2022 – attended Hurricane Valley Fire District Board as Virgin’s representative.
June 21, 2022 – LeRoy Thompson and I met to discuss the 2nd draft of proposed CIP policy for Virgin.
June 21, 2022- Attended meeting of mayors on behalf of Mayor Krause at Water Conservancy District concerning drought and possible water shortage.
June 14, 2022 – LeRoy Thompson and I met to discuss draft of proposed CIP policy for Virgin.
May 12, 2022 – LeRoy Thompson and I met with Nate Wiberg, Five Counties Association of Government, to discuss Capital Improvement Plans and procedure for implementing a CIP.
April 25, 2022 – met with Town Engineer with a concerned citizen from Desert Gardens concerning SR9 access points.
April 21, 2022 – was schedule to meet with the Town Engineer with a concerned citizen from Desert Gardens to discuss SR9 Accesss points. We met at the Town Engineer’s office but there was a scheduling conflict so we obtained copies of some of the Labrie project plans and rescheduled the meeting.
April 13, 2022- attended the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting.
March 11, 2022 – Mayor Krause and I attended a meeting at the Five County Association office with Alyssa Gamble concerning Virgin’s Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan will be submitted to the Town Council for approval at a future meeting.
March 3, 2022 – I attended a meeting with Thomas Dansie, Department Head of Community Devlopment, Springdale. Kent Peterson joined me in the meeting. We discussed Springdale’s experience in applying for International Dark Skies Place certification.
February 28, 2022 – attended electronically the Hurricane Valley Fire Special Service District’s Board Meeting.
February 25, 2022 – at the invitation of Mayor Krause, met with Mayor Krause and Leslie Fonger concerning the Zion Corridor Trail.
February 22, 2022 – attended a meeting by the Steve Meismer of the Virgin River Project provided to the canyon mayors (Virgin, Springdale, Rockville) and some of the council members (no quorum). The meeting was a fyi of a possible 10 year test program of the temporary introduction of Woundfin into the Virgin river near Grafton. After Steve provides more information to the mayors, he will then talk with each of the communities.
February 18, 2022 – agenda for Public Officials Training in Springdale.
February 9, 2022 – I wanted to attend the Planning and Zoning meeting, but since the Mayor and Zoning Administrator Garate were attending, my attendance at this meeting would constitute an illegal town council meeting as there would be a quorum of town council members at a meeting over matters that will be considered by the town council. I was planning on watching the YouTube link later but I likewise was disappointed that there were troubles with YouTube preventing the broadcasting of the meeting.
February 9, 2022 – The Mayor and I met with a concerned citizen from Desert Gardens about Falls Park and viewed the problems and damage to the area.
February 8, 2022 – I attended the Dixie Transportation Expo in St. George. Mayor Krause attended the expo early in the day. The expo exhibited improvement projects that are planned for the area over the coming years and what local governments in the area have planned for construction. Some of the projects directly affecting Virgin are the Toquerville Bypass and the Zion Corridor Trail. Ivins has plans to construct a roundabout on old highway 91. I believe that a roundabout at SR9 & 1420 West; at SR9 & Sheepbridge Road; and at SR9 & Kolob Road would calm traffic down by slowing it down as the traffic enters Virgin and also provide easy turning off and onto SR9.
January 26, 2022 – I met with a resident of the Pocketville area to discuss traffic calming and repairs needed for Pocketville road.
January 6, 2022 – Mayor Gigi and I met with UDOT concerning UDOT’s access management study for SR9. Also discussed adding general plan and master transportation plan to study and obtaining matching funds.
January 3, 2022 – Mayor Gigi and I met with Town Attorney Heath Snow.
December 11, 2021 – I attended the Utah League of Cities and Towns’ Elected Officials Essentrial training (formally the Newly Elected Officials training) in St. George with other newly elected officials.
December 1, 2021 – The mayor elect and I met with council members LeRoy Thompson, Gene Garate, & council member elect Mistie Baird concerning healing the divide in our community.
November 23, 2021 – The mayor elect and I attended a meeting of concerned citizens from Desert Gardens about street lights and dark skies.
