• Resolution 2022-H adopting HTS fees (misnomer – really adopts all fees for 22) – Post meeting comments: my motion at the April meeting was “to bring back a Resolution adopting fees as to bring back a resolution with the fees listed as in Gene’s letter for proposed rates for the residential fee schedule, for nonprofit to also provide proof of residency and 501C3 and government entities could use the building for the nonprofit rates.  The current rates for nonresident would remain the same.” Instead of bringing back a resolution pursuant to my motion, the agenda had a resolution adopting a fee schedule for all fees in the Town. Since the agenda was incorrect and notice to the public misleading, the matter was tabled until next month.

I believe and campaigned on transparency. I believe it is important for the citizens of Virgin to know why I voted a certain way or took a certain action. To promote transparancy, I will be posting my reasoning for my decision and votes on agenda items that concern significant or controversial matters. Thus, you will know the basis for my council action on an issue. Posting my reasoning will create accountability as I expect that when you disagree with any of my council votes or the reasoning for the votes, you will let me know. Your comments and input, both positive and negative, will assist me to make better decisions during my term of office. Check this page before or after council meetings.
